The consultation process

We are consulting on the Severn Valley Water Management Scheme’s (SVWMS) Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report and Vision Document.

This consultation will run for 6 weeks from 8 April 2024 until 20 May 2024. Any responses that we receive after this date will not be included in our analysis.

This consultation will be of particular interest to:

  • partners, stakeholders and communities who are interested in the Severn Valley Water Management Scheme

  • anyone who might be affected by water management of the River Severn

This is your opportunity to make sure that our Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report and the Vision document work for you. We would like any suggestions you have on the preferred approach, documents to include and other changes.

How we will use your information

The Environment Agency will make all responses publicly available after the consultation, unless you have specifically requested that we keep your response confidential.

We will not publish names of individuals who respond.

After the consultation we will make all comments (excluding personal information) publicly available on our Citizen Space website. This includes comments received online and by email, unless you have specifically requested that we keep your response confidential. We will not publish names of individuals or personal data. But we will publish the name of the organisation for those responses made on behalf of organisations.
