Farlington Marshes Project Survey

The Farlington Marshes Questionnaire responses have been collated and analysed. Over 3500 people took part in the questionnaire. Here are some headline figures from the information we gained:
- Top Activities for visitors to do is watching birds and wildlife
- 68% of respondents live within 5 miles of the marshes
- Most popular method of getting to the marshes is by car
- 65% of visitors do so in the morning
- 42% of respondents wish for improvements in the facilities and amenities on the marshes
- 380 people feel Farlington Marshes should be left exactly how it is

Overview
The Farlington Marshes Project Team is working alongside Portsmouth City Council, Hampshire and Isle of Wight WildlifeTrust and Natural England for a sustainable solution to flood risk management at Farlington Marshes.

We are seeking public opinion to gain a better understanding of how the marshes are used by its visitors.
Why your views matter
This is an opportunity for you to share what you most value about the Farlington Marshes and let us know what makes the nature reserve such an asset for Portsmouth City.
We encourage you to submit your response to the questionnaire online, which will enable you to manage your comments more effectively. It will also help us to gather and summarise responses quickly, accurately and cost effectively.
If you respond online and provide an email address, your response will be automatically acknowledged and you will receive a receipt.
