Overview

We are seeking your comments on a variation application received from Greenwheel Nether Lock Hydro Limited.

The application is to vary licence serial number MD/028/0068/001 which authorises the abstraction of water from the River Trent (Newark Branch) at Nether Lock Weir, Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire at National Grid Reference SK 80087 55288.

The variation applied for is to increase the max turbine capacity from 5,000 litres per second to 9,000 litres per second.
