Overview

We are seeking your comments on applications received from Canal and River Trust.

Stoke Weir

The first application is for a full licence to abstract (take) water from the River Trent at National Grid Reference (NGR) SK 64996 40670.

They have also applied for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of the River Trent between NGRs SK 64985 40630 and SK 65069 40524.

Gunthorpe Weir

The second application is for a full licence to abstract (take) water from the River Trent at NGR SK 68866 43677.

They have also applied for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of the River Trent between NGRs SK 68754 43717 and SK 68856 43673.

Hazelford Weirs

The third application is for a full licence to abstract (take) water from the River Trent at NGR SK 73249 49506.

They have also applied for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of the River Trent between NGRs SK 73229 49494 and SK 73310 49460 (north channel) and NGRs SK 73168 49316 and SK 73194 49266 (south channel).

They have also applied for a transfer licence to abstract (take) from the River Trent at NGR SK 73155 49310 for fish passage on the south channel.  Water will be immediately returned to the river downstream of the weir.
