Overview

We are consulting on the proposed new regulations covering fishing for salmon and sea trout.

Previous time-limited regulations for salmon and sea trout fishing on the River Lune expired in November 2019 and need to be replaced. In addition, the River Lune salmon populations are declining and therefore in need of more protection than they were previously.

We think that this consultation will be of particular interest to anyone who fishes for salmon and sea trout on the River Lune. This includes residents, businesses, recreational and commercial river users, charities, statutory organisations and members of the public.

Why your views matter

We want to hear your thoughts, comments and opinions on the River Lune salmon and sea trout assessments and proposed new regulations.
