Please provide your comments on the environmental permit application received from Cuadrilla Bowland Limited (Required)
I object to the application for the following reasons 1. Carr Bridge Brook feeds into the main Dyke which exists into the Ribble Estuary at Warton. Although the main dyke is managed by a gate system, tide dependant, it regularly full to capacity and overflows into fields and infrastructure. All of the local smaller dykes feed into the main dyke and often get backed up over flowing into residential areas such as Moss Side. 2. The additional water will not only impact on the water levels but will directly negatively impact on the local wildlife, which includes protected water voles and otters. 3. The quality of the water cannot be guaranteed. 4. The current system used by Caudrilla to manage its surface water is already in place and this change would only be as a cost cutting exercise for them.
