We already have to put up with dust, noise and light pollution in the local environment from the site as it exists now but to increase the levels even further would be detrimental to everything around. You can see from the image attached that in the summer we have lots of dust clouds being produced from the site which means windows have to be shut when it's the height of summer and should be open. The surrounding vegetation is covered in dust and those living and working near the site are breathing in this dust which will cause them health problems later on in life. The metallic noise pollution from the plant machinery starts at 0700hrs so there's no chance of getting any more sleep past this point. There are six floodlights on the site at the moment which cause a lot of light pollution to the surrounding area. Adjacent to EKR there's a new housing estate being built with something like 300+ houses and if each has a car and in sum cases two or three like some of our neighbours added to the additional EKR HGV's then the air pollution in and around Faversham, Oare and Ospringe will increase beyond sage levels. I'm not against progress and I do see that we have to recycle but in this case at what cost to the surrounding environment. As a citizen of the United Kingdom and a human being I have a right to expect a certain level of pollution but to extend the usage of the EKR site would go far beyond what I expect.
